About the event
In a culture that often hands us conflicting or even toxic visions of what it means to be a man, many men are searching for a more authentic way to live. I’m writing to invite you to join a new small-group study based on Richard Rohr’s book, Soul Brothers: Men in the Bible Speak to Men Today. In it, Rohr offers an honest look at men in the Bible who can provide biblical models for mature manhood.
Rohr is a globally recognized teacher who brings together theology, spirituality, and psychology to explore the “human struggle.” In this study, we won’t just look at these men in the Bible as distant heroes; we will look for the inner dynamics and developing character in their stories to see how they speak to our lives today.
Over the course of our sessions, we will encounter thirteen biblical figures, including:
