Creche Fest 2026
Creche Fest is an annual art exhibit in which community members are invited to reflect on the lasting truths of the Christmas season and express those thoughts and feelings in their artwork. This year’s theme is “Until the Dawn.” We encourage you to reflect on the experience of waiting during long, dark nights in times of stress, indecision, and unease, waiting for the hope and reassurance of dawn. Our team will review the submissions and the finalists will have their art displayed throughout the buildings and grounds of Freemason Street Baptist Church. Please read all the rules and guidelines before submitting your application.
Deadline for Submissions: November 25, 2026
Delivery Deadline for Accepted Artworks: November 30, 2026
Opening Reception: Saturday, December 5
Exhibition Dates: December 5th, 2026 - January 3, 2027
Artwork Pick Up Date: Saturday, January 9, 2027 or by appointment
Rules & Eligibility

Anyone may submit up to three original artworks for consideration through the website or by dropping off an application at the church office. Image files must be submitted with the application (300 dpi suggested). FSBC reserves the right to refuse artworks that do not meet installation requirements, are judged unsuitable, or cannot be accommodated. Artwork must not include any unstable live media or food.

All outside work must be weather resistant and able to be secured and remain outside.

Artwork must be ready to hang or display. FSBC will not accept hanging work that is submitted without a wire hanger.

Artwork can be in any medium (painting, photography, mixed media, poetry, etc.) if it adheres to the requirements above.

Artists may be requested to assist in pieces requiring unique installation.

FSBC cannot insure works on display during the exhibition, stored or displayed. FSBC will do their utmost in care for the handling of artwork.

The church may not be able to accommodate placing work in specific locations in the exhibition. Artwork will be accepted for display.

FSBC will contact any artist and pass along their contact information with their written permission in the event there is an interested buyer.
